Paris Haute Couture Week 2015

Here at Finding Ferdinand, we’re not only #obsessed with makeup, but we’re also obsessed with fashion.  And what better way to embrace both of these obsessions than to keep up with Paris Haute Couture week?  With high end designers displaying their astonishing creative works, it calls for makeup artists -- with the talent of choosing the perfect lip color to match with these creations -- to amp up these model’s looks even more. And since us Contributing Editors here at Finding Ferdinand aren’t makeup experts, but instead makeup connoisseurs, we decided to try our best to recreate 3 lip looks from 3 different designers shows, to hopefully help YOU makeup rookies achieve these high-end #glam looks.

ATELIER VERSACE

Taking a turn from her normally crazy patterned and structured designs, Donatella Versace decided to give flowy, bohemian pieces a run for their money.  For this soft show, pastels with floral embroidery were all the rage under Donatella’s mighty hand. And to top off the natural bohemian look, rosey nude lips were applied by makeup artist Pat McGrath to keep with the theme of fresh beauties.

CLASSIC CORAL + CREAMY MAUVE + AU NATUREL

Soft and pretty nude colors call for a hint of pink to brighten up the look.  Just mix together Classic Coral, Creamy Mauve, and Au Naturel to get a rosey pink lip color, worthy of Versace.

SCHIAPARELLI

If there was ever a designer to use the extremely detailed adornments, Schiaparelli would be it. With new head designer, Bertrand Guyon, flicks of Elsa Schiaparelli’s original work can be seen in these up-to-date evening wear gowns -- use of the “Shocking Pink” color can be found in an abundance of these creations.  From metallic embroidery, to hot pink tulle, this runway show is one to crave.  What girl doesn’t wish that they had $3000 laying around in their pockets to pick up a new night out dress?

ULYANA SERGEENKO

Making use of seamstresses from her native home of Russia, Ulyana Sergeenko made jaws drop with her gorgeous sleek and contemporary pieces. Her model’s had lips that were bright like fire -- a sight that is unforgettable. And as a designer that some may be less familiar with, after this Couture Week, she will be one that you will remember for Fashion Week’s to come.
