'Murica Country Stars for July 4th

Who represents celebrity patriotism better than country music stars?  No one, ya’ll.  With their songs of heartbreak and beer drinking, American’s can so clearly get a taste of what it’s like to be free within their songs.  But as we all know, the Fourth of July means more than just drinking and partying, it’s about representing good ol ‘Murica.  So, with country music stars, we are able to get patriotic worthy looks, inspired by these hoedown divas.

SHANIA

Not a man, but definitely a woman, Shania Twain is taking us back to our country roots with her sweet, patriotic, signature crimson lips. As someone who has recently been laying low with her musical talent, she is suddenly appearing again, and even sassier than ever!  Try your hand at her country-licious red lips.

GET THE LOOK:

RED FANTASY + TEQUILA SUNRISE

Mix equal amounts of Red Fantasy and Tequila Sunrise to get a flag-worthy, red lips.

CARRIE

Not only does Carrie Underwood have killer legs and a killer voice, but she also knows how to work the runway during her concerts.  For a low-key, home-grown girl, Carrie never takes the limelight for granted.  Instead of drawing more attention to her innocent girl vibe, she opts for subtle cherry-pink lips, instead of that “red lip classic” thing, that most country singers like.

GET THE LOOK:

CREAMY MAUVE + CLASSIC CORAL + AU NATUREL

Mix equal parts of Creamy Mauve, Classic Coral, and Au Naturel.  For a more cherry look, add a tad bit more of Classic Coral.

MIRANDA

If country music has a diva, Miranda Lambert is definitely IT. After winning Nashville star, this country princess knows how to stand out and rep the stars-and-stripes look, but with a twist. Instead of twang-ing to the typical “little red wagon” lip look, Miranda spices it up with a hint of purple.  So, for this 4th of July, add a bang of violet to your lips, to stand out from the crowd just like Miranda does.

GET THE LOOK:

FLAMING FUCHSIA + BERRY JAM

To get this red-lip twist look, mix together the same amount of Flaming Fuchsia and Berry Jam.  If you want more purple to your look, mix in more of Berry Jam.
