Resort Wear Lips for Every Style

Bright hues, geometric prints, and all the summer lovin’ you can get.  Resort wear gets much more interesting than Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines, swimming its way onto haute couture runways.  Whether you’re vacationing in the Hamptons with family, or treating yourself to a luxury get-away in St. Barths or Bora Bora, these brightly designed pieces are the perfect contrast from the dull sand you’ll be lounging on all summer.

Chanel takes the (crab) cake during Resort 2016 with Karl Lagerfeld’s looks featuring hot pinks, ocean blues, and patterns galore.  In addition to the beautifully constructed pieces, the models’ lip’s scream, “TAKE ME TO THE BEACH!”

Bottega Veneta, on the other hand, is all about a minimalistic approach.  Forget the too-hot-to-handle hues, Tomas Maier -- the creative director of Bottega Veneta --  replaced them with subtle camel shades and tropical reds and oranges.  Unlike their sun-kissed buddy Chanel, Bottega Veneta models channeled their inner sand-queens and opted for khaki colored lips.

This resort wear season is all about standing out from the classic paisley prints.  Try your hand at bright, geometric printed separates and flaming lips, or opt for subtle sweaters and trousers with muted colors.  Regardless if you’re a exotic sun-goddess or a rustic lounger, these two resort wear looks are exceptionally in this season.
